Indian Army 10+2 TES-54 Recruitment 2025

The Indian Army has announced the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-54) for unmarried male candidates. This Permanent Commission entry is open to candidates who have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2025. The course will commence in January 2026.

Age Limit

Applicants must be aged between 16½ and 19½ years as of 01/01/2026. The accepted date of birth range is 02 July 2006 to 01 July 2009, and only the date recorded in the 10th certificate will be accepted.


Eligibility

  • Nationality: Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal, or persons of Indian origin (from specified countries).
  • Education: Passed 10+2 with minimum 60% in PCM and appeared in JEE (Mains) 2025. Exact percentage required up to two decimal places.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Unmarried till completion of training
    • No criminal history, debarment, or disqualification
  • Physical Fitness:
    • Run: 2.4 km in 10 min 30 sec
    • 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups
    • Squats: 2 sets of 30, Lunges: 2 sets of 10
    • Basic swimming knowledge preferred

Training and Degree Details

  • Duration: 4 years total
    • Phase I: 3 years at Cadet Training Wing (CTW)
    • Phase II: 1 year at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun
  • Training Locations:
    • Pune: Civil & Mechanical Engineering
    • Mhow: Telecom & IT (Dual Degree)
    • Secunderabad: Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
  • Degree: Engineering degree awarded after successful completion
  • Withdrawal Policy: Cost recovery of ₹13,940/week (2021 rate) if leaving training voluntarily

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on JEE (Mains) 2025 CRL Rank
  2. SSB Interview: 5-day process at one of four centers (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar)
    • Stage I: Screening
    • Stage II: Interviews and tasks
  3. Medical Exam: Conducted at military hospitals
  4. Merit List: Based solely on SSB performance
  5. CTW Preferences: Candidates choose preferred locations; final allotment decided by the Army

Salary and Benefits

  • Training Stipend: ₹56,100 per month (IMA phase only)
  • Lieutenant Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 + allowances
    • MSP: ₹15,500/month
    • Dress Allowance: ₹25,000/year
    • Additional allowances for dearness, transport, education, etc.
  • Insurance:
    • Training: ₹15 Lakh (Premium ₹7,200)
    • Post-training: ₹1 Crore (₹10,000/month contribution)
  • Career Progression: Ranks from Lieutenant up to General
