Role Overview: Clinical Data Associate II
As a Clinical Data Associate II, you will play a crucial role in managing clinical trial data from study setup through to database lock. The position requires hands-on involvement in data accuracy, quality control, query management, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure smooth data flow and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Development & Testing: Support the creation, testing (User Acceptance Testing – UAT), and maintenance of clinical trial databases.
- Data Entry & Quality Control: Perform accurate data entry and conduct detailed reviews of Case Report Forms (CRFs).
- Data Validation: Develop and execute edit checks, manage discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.
- Medical Coding & SAE Reconciliation: Assist with medical coding using MedDRA and WHO-DD terminologies and reconcile Serious Adverse Events (SAEs).
- Reporting: Generate study metrics and provide regular status reports to the project team.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise effectively with third-party Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system vendors and external data providers.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and study protocols.
- Additional Support: Assist with SAS programming and review of study protocols or Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP), if required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in clinical data management, preferably within CRO or pharmaceutical settings.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, EDC systems, with basic SAS programming knowledge preferred.
